Glossier London
London / 2019
Temporary Retail Store
Glossier London, tucked away in the city’s own Covent Garden, draws inspiration from the likes of William Morris, Liberty London, and 19th century British Social Clubs. A hand-drawn pattern is translated digitally and applied to a variety of materials: wallpaper, carpet, drapery, and upholstery. The layout is derived from old plans of Gentleman’s Clubs, divided into small, intimate spaces that convey a residential atmosphere. Peppered within the space are secret doors, hidden mirrors, and heavy, draped fabric, the store is transformed into a playful discovery of Glossier as a brand.
