KENZO FLAGSHIP
Soeul, South Korea
2016
Kenzo, a fashion label founded byHumberto Leon and Carol Lim of Opening Ceremony, sought out Rafael de Cardenas / Architecture at Large, to design Soeul, South Korea. The facade, made up of spun-metal, multi-colored cones, aims to capture the dynamic and exciting use of pattern and color found within the Kenzo brand. The facade, inspired by the bold design of traffic cones and maximalist patterns, serves as a graphic, textural surface that exhoes the brand’s tactile sensibilities.
